Washington’s campaign disclosure rules require records of who contributes. Please provide the following with your contribution, whether you give online, by check or at a meeting.
Contributor & Payment Details
- Full name of the actual contributor
- Full mailing address, including city, state and ZIP code
- Contribution amount and date of payment
- Payment method: Venmo or check
- Name shown on the payment, if different
- Email address or phone number (optional, for follow-up)
Employment Details
- Occupation
- Employer’s name
- Employer’s city and state
If retired, unemployed or a student, indicate your status and use “not applicable” for employer details. If self-employed, provide your occupation, business name and business city and state.
Employment details are required when an individual’s cumulative contributions exceed $250. Providing them with your first contribution helps reduce follow-up if you give again.

Why We Ask
Contributor names, addresses, amounts and receipt dates must be recorded. Under PDC reporting rules, names and full addresses are publicly itemized when cumulative contributions exceed $100. For individuals whose cumulative contributions exceed $250, reports also include occupation and employer name, city and state. Monetary and in-kind contributions count toward these totals.
Contribution information may be disclosed in public reports filed with the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission (PDC). Email addresses and phone numbers are requested for follow-up, rather than as required contributor-reporting fields.
Political contributions are not tax-deductible. Please contribute in the actual contributor’s name using their own funds. Individual contributors must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, and contributions cannot involve prohibited foreign national funding or decision-making.

Contributing as a Business or Organization?
Please provide the entity’s full legal name and mailing address, contribution amount and date, and the name of its authorized representative. A business or organization contribution generally also requires a written certification about foreign national funding and involvement. Send the following with your contribution information:
